Our annual Summer of Funner Family Film Fest begins tonight. And, this year’s theme is The Best Summer Movies Of All Time. While we’ll mostly be picking movies with a bit of a “hot summer” aspect, our main focus is to show the kids the best of the best. Of course, not all of the greatest summer movies ever will appear on our playbill. But, we’re doing our best to cover a wide swathe of territory in the span of nine weeks. Also, we’re having the kids each pick a “best” movie for the list this year, which is bound to be a hoot! So, look out each Friday for a list of what’s on our family’s weekend playbill.
Summer Family Film Fest 2016: The Best Summer Movies of All Time, Week One
Tonight we’re watching Casablanca and To Have and Have Not. Is that hot enough for you?
And we’re asking the kids the question: Are these movies really all that similar?
An alternative to this pairing might be: The Maltese Falcon and The Big Sleep. [Who knows? We might watch these this weekend, too!]
Here’s our Friday Night playbill!
What will you be watching at the cottage or screening on your back deck this weekend? Let us know!
